The company began in 1973, when Angie and Roland Bender opened the first Bender’s Shoes store in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. They combined good quality shoes with sit-and-fit full service to customers. Today our family owned business, now in its third generation, has rebranded as Benders. We have three stores located in Grand Rapids, Hibbing and Duluth. The founding principles of providing top-notch service and quality selection to our customers remain our mission today.
