Birkenstock shoes are sized according to European (EU) size standards. Most Birkenstock styles are manufactured in U.S. comparable medium widths. Some women's styles are manufactured in U.S. comparable Narrow widths. Birkenstocks are not manufactured in U.S. comparable wide widths. The comparable United States (US) size range is shown below.

Women order a M width (Birkenstock refers to as Regular width) if you normally wear a US  women's medium to wide width. Order a  N width (Birkenstock refers to as a Narrow) if you normally wear a US women's narrow width.

Men order a M width (Birkenstock refers to as a Regular width) if you normally wear a US men's medium width.

Fit Tip: Your feet should be able to move freely without your toes hitting the edge of the footbed.
